How is your Bunting Made?

We take great pride in ensuring that our bunting is made to the highest possible standards. So, whether it is for your big day, a christening celebration, a special party, or a simple BBQ in the garden you can be sure that every care has been taken to ensure that your bunting will be in perfect condition the day it arrives. And, more importantly, lasts for all your future celebrations!

You may have seen our bunting on television programs such as Downton Abbey, Poirot, Emmerdale, Eastenders and many more! The Design

All our designs start with a spark of an idea! Inspiration comes from many sources - the buntings of yesteryear, colour trends, the seasons, an event, a theme or simply a customers suggestion. Take our Beach Hut bunting shown here. The colours and history of the little wooden huts that adorn our North Essex Beaches provided the inital idea. Many styles and designs of material were tried and tested before we fell in love with the eclectic mix of summer oranges, sunset pinks and sea blues.

The Fabric

The fabric is the most important element of our bunting. Once we have worked through the design and chosen the colours and styles to use we begin sourcing the right fabric for that bunting. We always use 100% cotton with many of our fabrics being dyed and woven or printed to our exact specification - giving our designs a unique quality and style. Machine washable, non-shrink and suitable for ironing ensure they stay in perfect condition year after year.

The Pennants

The majority of our designs have triangular pennants which are a generous 19cm wide by 20.5cm long and with only 10cm between each one a 5m length has a whopping 16 flags! They feature double sided (two flags sewn together) pennants which are hemmed to ensure the design doesn't fray and looks as good as the day you bought it every time you use it. Made from 100% cotton and stitched to a cotton line, which is chosen to perfectly complement the design, (we don't use cheap looking header tapes) there are loops at either end for hanging or for tying lengths together if required.

The Stitching and Header Tape

All our bunting is beautifully machine stitiched and hemmed to ensure it never frays and can be used at a whole host of events and occassions for years to come. The bunting is sewn onto the same fabric we use for our bunting and not onto tape.

The Attention To Detail

It's the attention to detail that sets our bunting apart from the rest. 100% cotton, rolled edges that are hemmed and finished, fine stitching and woven fabrics, are all elements that ensure our designs are delivered to you in perfect condition. Finished with loops for easy hanging and supplied with full washing instructions they come in a choice of lengths (5m, 10m and some even in extra long 25m) to ensure that whether you are decorating an intimate gathering or large marquee we have something to suit!
